DAGOVAR :: A VISUAL BASIC GAME
Dagovar is a game made by spanish Visual Basic programmer David Diez. It is part of the
Dagovar Project - firstly conceived in 2001, though it didn't show real results until the end of 2007 -
which includes at this day several versions of this game, using the finest algorythms developed by its creator. All these games do work without Direct X, for they use instead Bitblt graphical functions.

This is a little game created by me. You have to hit a bouncing ball the more times you can.
Magic Ball
This is a example on how to write with custom characters, to make your games better looking.
Characters Example
This is a game where you control a character in flat 2D movement, and have to kill all your
enemies with pistol, flamer, grenades, kick or punch. It is a technical and conceptual antecesor of Dagovar.
Kugelstadt
This is the old Sea Battle (Hundir la Flota) game. I made it in both single player and two players versions
(two players in the same computer, hot seat play mode).
Hundir la Flota
This is a fractal example; I found this amazing result without even seeking it.
Fractal
This little application allows the quick listening of audio files.
Quick Wave Player
This is an example of four graphical effects made with SetPoint and GetPoint functions.
Graphical Effects
This is an application that creates maps by using simple square tiles. It supports animations and the
addition of new graphics from external files.
MapEdit
This is an unfinished application that I have no intention to finish. This application creates maps by using isometrical cube tiles, and supports several height levels. It is pretty slow and therefore I stopped working
on it. Only its first functionality, map creation, is implemented.
Isometrical volumetrical environment
This is a example on how to make shaped forms and images, and circled light effects.
Shaping and Lighting
~ I will upload some more examples soon. ~
